Primary voting is upon us! Here’s how you can help:
- King County needs trained ballot box observers to adopt a box, alerting officials about full boxes, anyone trying to interfere with ballot drop-offs, and observing on election night, Aug. 4th, from 7-8:30 p.m. Sign up ASAP for Ballot Box Observer Training on 7/29.
- Check out FWI’s voter education research with links to trusted progressive voter guides.
- Find your closest ballot box and drop off your primary ballot by August 4th! (Note: Mail delivery may be delayed, so dropping it off yourself is best!)
- Wondering how WA processes millions of votes so securely? Watch this virtual tour of the voting center!
- Looking to help swing states get the vote out? Vote Forward is a great place to start. We adopted 25 voters in PA at July’s CAN!

🚩 Every Sunday Corner Protest, noon-1pm: Join Federal Way Indivisible in partnership with the Southend Friends for Peace and Justice every Sunday, rain or shine. Bring your own sign or borrow one provided. We’re standing up for peace and democracy. All non-violent humans and their furry companions welcome! Location: The intersection of S. 320th and Pac Hwy S. by the Commons.

- Sept. 1st Data Center Moratorium Public Comment: A temporary moratorium on data centers in Federal Way was enacted during the July 7th city council meeting. The public will get to comment on whether the moratorium should be permanent at the Sept. 1st city council meeting, 6:30pm. Location: City Hall, Council Chambers, 33325 8th Ave S, Federal Way, WA 98003. Please show up, bring a friend, bring a sign, and tell council NO DATA CENTERS IN FEDERAL WAY. Until then, send email comments, comment at city council meetings via Zoom, or comment in person so the issue stays in the public eye.
